Are you looking for cheap hotels in Cebu City, Philippines?
Who doesn’t love cheap hotels when staying a day or two before moving on to other places? I certainly do especially if this saves me a few cash, does not put a dent to my budget and allow me to splurge more on my trip.
Personally, I find the word ‘cheap’ rather subjective as it’ll depend primarily in how much one person consider a steal or what certain amount is ‘affordable’. For me, cheap can be less than 2000 Php (37 USD) and includes breakfast already.
Finding an accommodation with that rate especially in a popular tourist destination can be daunting and time-consuming. Especially if you are visiting a tourist destination like Cebu City in the Philippines.
Cebu has a lot of gorgeous places to offer for guests traveling to this region in the Philippines. It also serves as the gateway to the various beautiful places in the Visayas.
The province (Lapu-Lapu City to be exact which is a few minutes from Cebu City, depending on the traffic) has several direct flights to gorgeous islands like Camiguin, Dumaguete, Boracay (via Caticlan) Leyte and even Coron.
You can make it as a base when visiting multiple destinations in the country.
As a ‘local’ and a travel blogger, who have been living here for the past 9 years or so, I have had a few people asking me where’s the best location and the best accommodation to stay in if you are in the city for a couple of days.
So here, I have a list of cool and cheap hotels in Cebu City, Philippines that’ll save you some cash. This is quite different from our popular hotels list in Cebu where I’ve mentioned some really well-known but maybe a little bit expensive hotels in the city.

Marvi, your blog is a complete guide for Philippines. Thanks for writing about the cheap hotels in Cebu city and including the maps for all of them. We are planning a trip to Philippines soon and your blog is going to be reference for that.
Though we like our hotels to be luxurious and elegant, it is always fine if it is basically decent and clean if you are not going to spend much time in it apart from spending the night. The hotels that you have listed here all seem to be providing great value for money and a nice place to sleep and wake up in. I especially like the look of Azia Suites and Center Suites.
That’s what I love about Southeast Asia, the hotels are inexpensive and provide decent comfort nevertheless. If one wants to spend a little extra money, they can even get some really good luxury without putting a dent in their budget! I’ve been to The Philippines but not yet to Cebu (only Palawan) and I decided last year that I have to return because I want to visit Cebu. This will be a really helpful guide for when I plan my trip, thanks for sharing!
