Tagged as the “happiest place on Earth”, it is every kid’s dreams to see their favorite Disney character as well as experience the fun in Hong Kong Disney Land.

We always enjoy visiting Hong Kong Disneyland and include it to our itinerary when we visit.

Don’t forget to watch the live shows and of course the parades and the fireworks at night. It’s something to look forward to and enjoy together.

How to Get Here: Take the train to Tsuen Wan MTR and get off at the Lai King Station. From there, transfer to the Tung Chung Line and alight at the Sunny Bay Station. Once there, you can take the Disneyland Resort Line.

Ocean Park Hong Kong

Tons of fun awaits for your kids at the Hong Kong Ocean Park since they can go for a dolphin watch to enjoyable rides! You can also visit the cute pandas and take the cable car to the summit.

The rides at the Ocean Park are much more thrilling than those at Disneyland. So if you are bringing the big kids, I am sure they will love it too.

The aquariums are a must-see too. We loved seeing the sharks when we visited.

How to Get Here: You can take the Ocean Park Express via Citybus Route 629 from Central Star Ferry. The first bus leaves at 9:30 and the last bus is at 11:30 AM. Aside from the bus, you can also take the MTR South Island Line and alight at the Ocean Park Station.

Avenue of Stars

Avenue of Stars

The Avenue of Stars is another fun and leisure walk that you can do in Hong Kong with kids.

For sure, they would love to see the place where famous people have their handprints as well as some sculpture like Bruce Lee’s.

Plus, the view of the Victoria Harbour looks amazing from here. A perfect place to have some family quality time!

I’d suggest you visit here during the afternoon though when the sun isn’t that hot. Expect lots of people during peak time too.

How to Get Here: Take the MTR line going to Tsim She Tsui. Walk for around 5-10 minutes going to the Victoria Harbour promenade or the Hong Kong Science Museum. The Avenue of Stars is at the bay walk.

Noah’s Ark Hong Kong

Famous people like US President Barack Obama were created into wax figures. They looked like real people and will make your kids feel like they have actually met their idols!

How to Get Here: Madame Tussauds is located at The Peak. The most popular way to get there is riding the Peak Tram from the Peak Tram Station. You can also take the Minibus number 1 from the Central at Two IFC or take the Bus X15, Bus 15 and Bus 15B.

Star Ferry

The kids will love to have a ride on the famous Star Ferry for this is a great experience and would let you see Hong Kong on a different view.

The views from the ferry are breathtaking, so be sure to capture lots of photos.

The ferry leaves the port with several minutes interval. So you don’t have to worry about catching it on time. There is two-port at the Hong Kong Island: Central Pier and Wanchai Pier, so be observant what port you are entering from Tsim She Tsui.

How to Get Here: Take the MTR going to Victoria Harbour.

Symphony of Lights

This is a relaxing activity in Hong Kong with kids! The Symphony of Lights is the biggest laser and show sound will be seen right before your eyes. Take a trip to the harbor to give you a better view of this display of lights!

The show lasts for 10-minutes so it is not that long. You can enjoy it at the Tsim She Tsui Promenade or on a harbor cruise. There are tours that offer unlimited drinks while you slowly sail at the Victoria Harbour.

How to Get Here: If you are at the Hong Kong Island, you can just take the Star Ferry going to Tsim She Tsui. If you are already Kowloon, take the MTR to the Tsim She Tsui line.
Opening Hours: Symphony of Lights starts at 8:00 PM. The cruise starts at 4:15 PM.
Ticket Price: The Symphony of Lights is free. But if you want to take the harbor cruise, it costs 160 HKD

Kowloon Park

If you love a lovely leisure walk, you can enjoy that at Kowloon Park. It is a public park with several outdoor facilities that you can use for a fee.

If you opt not to pay for any entrance fee, you can just enjoy the lovely shade under the trees. There is also a Comic Avenue located inside the park with life-sized statues of popular comic characters in Hong Kong.

We visited it once and enjoyed taking photos with the beautifully sculpted statues.

How to Get Here: From the Star Ferry, you can walk towards Kowloon Park. It is a 15 minutes walk to the Nathan Road where the entrance to the park is located. You can also take the MTR train. Alight at the MTR Jordan Station Exit C or MTR Austin Station.
Opening Hours: 5:00 AM to 12 MN
Ticket Price: Free

Victoria Peak

Hong Kong with Kids: Victoria Peak

The Victoria Peak is a hill in Hong Kong that is popular for families, friends, couples and even solo traveler.

This is where the Madame Tussauds is located as well as the Trick Eye Museum. Aside from the fun museums, there are restaurants you can grab a bite in.

The Peak is a favorite spot for sunset in Hong Kong so don’t miss that with your kids!

How to Get Here: You can reach the Peak by walking, by bus, by taxi or by the Peak Tram. If you want to walk, you can take the MTR Central Station and exit at the Exit J2. Then walk from there. If through the bus, you can take the Bus 15C from the Central near Star Ferry. You can also take the Peak Tram, which is by far the most popular way to get to the Peak.
Opening Hours: 8:00 AM (on Sundays and public holidays) 10 AM to 11 PM
Ticket Price: Free. But the other activities there has a corresponding ticket fee.
